This may have been the intention as Fangs is a humor based graphic novel, though even that aspect fell flat for me. Saint Tail, based on the manga of the same name by Megumi Tachikawa (released by Tokyopop in the early 2000s and now sadly out of print), has had a tough time of it in English release.

Hopefully I can find other supernatural romances that don't fall among the media I read as a teen and am now not interested in.

They all felt believable and somehow even felt older, like their actual ages, despite looking young. For some reason, I thought Ichii would kinda be a jerk, but he was actually really sweet, trying his best to be a good guardian to En, and a good friend to Sugi.
