About this deal
A fire alarm pull station is an active fire protection device, usually wall-mounted, that, when activated, initiates an alarm on a fire alarm system. Until the early 1990s, some panels were made with an extra zone to accommodate any existing coded pull stations.
Manual pull stations that require two hand motions, such as lift up and pull down, or push in and pull down, have since replaced the break-glass and single-action models in many modern installations. Here at Evacuator Alarms , we specialise in traditional and wireless fire alarm installation for all building projects, from residential buildings to offices and large construction sites.
They enable you to safely and legally hold fire doors open, by allowing the door to close thus preventing the spread of smoke and fire.
With rising energy costs not only effecting us at home, but in our businesses too, it is important now more than ever to manage our energy usage efficiently and cut waste. Similarly to the addressable fire control system, the devices are connected in loops in intelligent system which is available in two, four and eight loops system. This way, it is easy to identify the exact affecting area to the control room, building management and fire brigade.
The main purpose of intelligent fire alarm system is to prevent the occurrence false alarms which need extra complexity due to high accurate sensors with incorporate computers system and algorithms. When the smoke interferes the light beam from the light source to the photocell, it measures the amount of light it receives from the light source. Break glass (which draws its name from breaking the glass to pull a fire alarm) refers to a quick means for a person who does not have access privileges to certain information to gain access when necessary.
The basic idea behind the loop system is that in case of short circuit fault, only a small portion of the system affected while the rest will work properly with the help of isolation module connected in the loop. Some of the latest designs have been adapted to use depressable plastic instead of glass to reduce the possibility of injury to the user and to discourage any acts of vandalism. Others are battery operated so ideal for use as a temporary solution on sites where an alarm is required.
As the control panel won’t allow you to pinpoint the exact location of individual device or which device has been triggered but only shows the zone location by text, lamp indicator or both in case of emergency. Agree the activation time of the sounder for the test, if the time is prolonged, this means that evacuation is necessary.
